Matt and Dean enjoyed these two girls Busking in the Subway...  It inspired them in some ways, but at the same time they did notice the lack of any real Dancing.

The Fish Police

The Fish Police

The Fish Police, a three-piece band hailing from South London, mix a strong 70s punk attitude with a hip hop swagger and a dash of pop to create original tunes with edge.

Made up of Dean Rodney (singer, rapper, songwriter), Matthew Howe (guitar) and Charles Stuart (keys, co-songwriter, background vocals) they mix their love of computer games, cartoons, fast food and Japanese culture to create sounds that set them apart on the UK urban music scene.

Leading creative producing company Heart n Soul are supporting them to write new songs and to create their original sound and performance style.

They have performed many times at Heart n Soul’s Squidz Club and at other venues around London. Last September they performed at the Decibel Arts Showcase in Manchester which celebrated the best new work by diverse artists. They received huge acclaim and straight after were invited to perform at the Lincoln Center in New York in November 2010, where they proved popular with crowds and critics alike.

Last year they also performed at the Paradise Gardens Festival in East London, Liberty Festival at Trafalgar Square and The Beautiful Octopus Club at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre.

The Fish Police are currently finishing their debut album which will be out later this year. Key tracks include 'Black Scissors', 'Chicken Nuggets for Me' and 'Monica 300'.
